Having a caregiver come into the home means having the comfort and security and care you or your family needs. But many people also wonder about such issues as if they will like their caregiver, what tasks a caregiver can perform, if the office will be responsive to problems, or if they can afford the care they need.
You and your Family Resource Home Care supervisor will talk about these issues, and other issues too. We’re here to help you get the care you need, so let’s start at the beginning:
Call our office.
Don’t worry if you don’t know exactly what you want; we’ll help you figure that out. Our client care supervisors will ask some questions and most importantly, listen while you tell us about your situation.
Meet your supervisor.
We’ll meet in your home, or at the hospital or a convalescent facility if you or your loved one is recovering from an accident or illness. This is a get to know each other meeting, and there is no charge.
Talk to us about your circumstances.
As we listen to your needs and ask and answer questions about specific concerns, we will have a conversation about the level and frequency of care that will best fit your wants and needs. We’ll talk about solutions and may come up with ideas you haven’t even thought of! Our goal is to help you make an informed decision based on health concerns, social needs and personal circumstances.
Finalize your care plan.
We will write a care plan based on the information we get during our meeting. The care plan will include frequency of care visits, type of care to be delivered and specific duties that your caregiver will be expected to perform. Your care plan can be changed as your circumstances change.
Meet your caregiver.
A big part making sure you’re happy is having a good personality fit between you and your family, and your caregiver. We will do our best to make a good match so you’re comfortable and satisfied. And after care begins, we’ll check in with you to make sure your caregiver is just right for you.
